You make no monthly payment on a deferred loan. The full balance comes due once you pay off the first mortgage, sell or refinance.
Who can get CalHFA MyAccess?
- From June 30, 2026, CalHFA's county limits run from $192,000 to $325,000.
- Limited to first-time buyers: yes, though there are exceptions.
- You get it with a first mortgage that's either CalHFA CalPLUS Access FHA or CalPLUS Access Conventional.
Your county and household size set most of the limits. Use our HUD lookup to see the median income for your area and where your household falls.
