Information rather than advice

General information about public programs is what the calculator, tables and income-limit lookup provide. Financial, legal or tax advice is not what they provide. They don't offer credit, and your qualifying for any program isn't promised.

Agency terms control

The amounts, limits and rules on our site reflect what each agency had published at the time we read its page. Funding runs out and programs change. Your lender's decision, together with the terms the agency has now, always has the last word.

Lending isn't our role

First Home Grants makes no loans or credit decisions and takes no applications. A lender request does just one thing: it asks one lender to contact you. For any loan, you and that lender are the parties. Its own terms apply. The Equal Credit Opportunity Act and the Fair Housing Act are part of the fair lending law that lenders receiving requests are expected to follow. Equal Housing Opportunity.

Names of programs

FHA, HUD, VA, USDA and the state program names are their owners' property; we use them only to describe the programs.First Home Grants isn't part of any government agency, and no agency endorses it.

Site use

Our pages may be shared and quoted, and the CSV files may be downloaded. Don't try to disrupt the site, and don't send requests in another person's name. The site comes as it is, and as far as the law permits we aren't liable for decisions made from it.
