Who qualifies for Louisiana HomeStart Plus?

  • Only for buyers purchasing in designated parishes affected by Hurricanes Laura, Delta, or Ida.
  • Household income 80% of the HUD area median income; varies by household size and location.
  • Only for first-time buyers (usually no home owned in the past three years).
  • A credit score of 640 or higher.
  • A homebuyer education course before you buy.
  • It comes with a 30-year fixed-rate first mortgage through the LHC HomeStart Plus program.
